Most patients find the procedure very comfortable. A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to minimize discomfort. You may feel mild pressure or a brief pinching sensation, but the procedure is generally well tolerated.
Your appointment typically takes 45–60 minutes, including your consultation, blood draw, PRP preparation, numbing time, and treatment. The actual injection portion usually takes only a few minutes.
There is little to no downtime for most patients. You can typically return to your normal daily activities the same day. Your provider will give you personalized aftercare instructions, including when it’s appropriate to resume exercise and sexual activity.
